Manage your profile

Your profile helps players and group organizers know who is joining an event. The profile fields available to you can vary slightly by platform.

1. Open your profile

   Open Profile from the main navigation. Your profile shows your display name, contact details, sports and levels, event statistics, and groups you belong to.

2. Start editing

   Select Edit profile. On mobile, the edit screen has Cancel and Save controls at the top. On web, select Edit profile and save your changes from the profile page.

3. Update your basic information

   You can update the fields currently supported by the app:

   • First and last name
   • Display name or alias
   • Phone number
   • Venmo username
   • Profile photo
   • Bio

4. Add or update sports and levels

   Add a sport to your profile, then choose your overall level. For sports with positions, you can also add a level for a position. Your selections appear in the Sports & levels section of your profile.

5. Save and verify

   Select Save, wait for the confirmation, and reopen your profile to make sure the updated information appears as expected.

Mobile privacy controls

On iOS and Android, Edit profile also includes privacy controls for profile visibility, contact information, your real name, skill levels, event history, and statistics. These controls are not currently presented in the web profile editor.

What other people can see

Your profile can include your sports and levels, bio, group memberships, and event history or statistics, depending on the visibility settings available in the mobile app. If you do not add a sport or level, the profile can show that you have not provided one yet.

Use a name people recognize

Choose a display name or alias your teammates will recognize. Keep your bio and contact details current so organizers can coordinate with you when needed.

If a profile change will not save

Check that the required name fields are filled in, then try saving again. If the problem continues, contact Hop In Sports support and include your device type, the field you were changing, and the error message if one appears.
