Handle tournament results

Open Manage tournament → Competition → Results. The workspace lists matches that need attention first — disputed results, then submitted results, then matches with no result — so you can work through the queue.

Open a match and enter the score. If the match uses a scorecard, fill in the lines the app shows; otherwise choose the winner. Submit the result when the competitors and score are correct.

Reporting a result does not make it final. It creates a submitted result that still needs confirmation.

Action Use it when
Confirm result The score is correct. This makes it final.
Dispute Something needs review. Explain what, and the result is held.
Void The result should not count. Explain why.

Disputes and voids require a short reason. Confirming a result is what makes a match decided and advances the winner.

When a result is wrong, use the correction flow rather than rebuilding the draw. Corrections keep the match, its participants, and its history intact.

You cannot void a result once a later match already depends on it. Resolve disputes forward by confirming a corrected result instead.

A forfeit records that a competitor could not play. Open the match itself — from the schedule, the bracket, or Run — and use the forfeit action when the app offers it.

A forfeit is recorded as a result, so it follows the same confirmation rules. It does not withdraw the entry from the tournament. If a team is leaving the tournament entirely, use disqualification instead.

When a result is confirmed, the winner moves into the next match automatically. Nothing needs to be re-published:

  • In a bracket, the winner fills its slot in the following match.
  • A bye advances automatically without a result.
  • Pool standings update from confirmed results.
  • Matches with no result stay undecided and block completion.
