Place free agents on teams
A free agent is a player who entered the tournament without a team. Their registration is a placement request: it does not consume a team place until you place them.
Open Manage tournament → Participants → Free agents.
Review the pool
Section titled “Review the pool”The list shows players waiting for a team. Use search, division, and readiness filters to find who still needs one. Free agents must be resolved before you confirm the field, so work through them during entry review.
Place a player
Section titled “Place a player”- Choose Place player on a free agent.
- Select a team. Only teams in that player’s division are offered.
- Add a short note explaining the placement.
- Save.
Placing a player adds them to the team’s roster. From that point they follow the usual entry, requirement, and payment rules for that team.
Move a player
Section titled “Move a player”If a placement was wrong, use Move player to send them to another team in the same division. The reason is recorded.
Return a player to the pool
Section titled “Return a player to the pool”Use Return to pool when a placement should be undone and the player should wait again.
When placement is available
Section titled “When placement is available”Placement requires open rosters. Once you confirm competitors or lock rosters, free agents can no longer be placed, moved, or returned until rosters are reopened.
A player’s registration payment is separate from their placement. Settle payment before placing where the app requires it.
