Join a tournament

Open the tournament and choose Enter tournament.

A tournament can have several divisions — for example doubles and quads, or different skill levels. Each division is a separate competition with its own entry price and capacity.

Pick the division you want, then choose how you are entering.

You can have one active entry in a tournament. If you withdraw, you can enter another division while registration is open. The tournament page keeps links to both entries under Your entries so you can review the earlier one.

Entry Use it when
Team entry You are entering with a team. You become the captain and name the team.
Individual entry You are competing on your own.
Free agent You want to play but need a team. You join a pool the organizer places from.

A free agent registration does not hold a team place until an organizer places you.

Some tournaments are free. If there is an entry fee, the organizer decides who pays:

  • The captain pays for the whole team entry.
  • Each player pays their own share when they join the team.

If you are paying for yourself, you pay when you join rather than when the captain creates the entry.

Before you enter, checkout shows the organizer’s price, any automatic membership discount, and your total. If you hold an eligible punch card or membership entry, select the checkbox beside its name to use it. Leave it unchecked to keep the entry and pay instead. You can select or remove it until you choose Create team entry or Enter tournament; checkout updates the total before you continue.

Checkout also shows available group credit. Choose how much to apply, then review the credit and remaining card amount separately. You can remove the credit before submitting. If you pay for the whole team, only your own membership, eligible team visits, and credit apply; teammates’ balances do not reduce your fee. A personal punch-card visit does not cover a whole team fee.

Free entries show no payment due. For paid entries, Pay Now is non-refundable if you cancel or do not attend. If payment is due when the lineup is finalized, save a card only for the remaining cash amount. Leaving before that cutoff cancels the scheduled cash payment and restores applied credit. A fee fully covered by credit or an eligible visit needs no card.

As the captain, open your team page from your entry. You can invite a teammate by email, or share the invitation link so a player can claim their place.

Each teammate accepts their own invitation and completes their own requirements. If each player pays, they also complete their own payment. When the captain pays for the team, teammates owe no separate charge. Before accepting, an invited player sees the tournament, the division, their role, and their price. When each player pays, the invited player reviews their own automatic membership discount and can choose or remove an eligible visit, promotion, or group credit before accepting. A Pay Later player must confirm the current scheduled card amount after making those choices.

Invitations can be pending, joined, declined, expired, or withdrawn. You can resend or revoke a pending invitation from the team page.

When the organizer charges players individually, an invited player may need to confirm their email address before they can join.

Your entry page shows what to do next:
