Tournament host roles
Open your tournament’s management page, choose Settings, and find Hosts. The available actions depend on your current permissions.
Choose a host role
Section titled “Choose a host role”| Role | Responsibility |
|---|---|
| Lead host | The tournament’s primary host. Use Change lead host to hand this responsibility to someone else. |
| Co-host | Manage tournament details, participants, and competition. |
| Assistant | Help with registrations and check-in. |
To add someone, choose Add host, select an eligible group member, and choose Co-host or Assistant. If the person is not a group member, have them join the group first.
Use the menu beside an existing host to change their role or remove them.
Change the lead host
Section titled “Change the lead host”Open the lead host’s menu and choose Change lead host. Select the new lead host and review the confirmation.
The previous lead is removed from the host team unless you select Keep as a co-host. If the change removes your own management access, you will leave the management page after confirming.
Understand group management access
Section titled “Understand group management access”A host’s tournament role and their group permissions are separate. Someone marked Group management access can manage the tournament through their group permissions, even if you remove them from its host team.
Removing a host does not remove their group membership or change their group role. To remove access provided by the group, review that person’s permissions in the group’s member management page as well.
Removing someone from the host team also leaves their participant registration unchanged. Manage attendance separately in the tournament’s entries.
