Tournament organizer guide
A tournament has two separate milestones: publishing the tournament lets people find it and enter; publishing competition makes the prepared matches visible to players. You can collect entries before the draw is ready.
Tournaments are managed in the web app. They are not in the mobile app yet, so use a browser to set one up or run one. See Find your way around.
Follow the tournament workflow
Section titled “Follow the tournament workflow”- Create the tournament. Use the dedicated tournament creator to provide its details, divisions, entry options, dates, and planned competition. For a paid tournament, set up payments.
- Plan competition. Choose the competition setup and review the estimate for each division before publishing the tournament.
- Share the work. Add tournament hosts with the responsibilities they need.
- Confirm the field. Review entries, resolve outstanding requirements, and confirm who will compete.
- Prepare the draw. Review and publish competition using the confirmed field.
- Schedule matches. Publish fixed times or court order.
- Run the tournament. Follow the single-day or multi-day runbook.
Find the right workspace
Section titled “Find the right workspace”Open the tournament and choose Manage tournament.
| Area | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Overview | Review the tournament’s current progress and suggested next action. |
| Participants | Review competitors, teams, free agents, and check-in. |
| Competition | Prepare the draw, schedule matches, and manage results. |
| Updates | Communicate tournament updates. |
| Settings | Edit tournament details, competition setup when available, payments, and hosts. |
Actions depend on your current permissions and the tournament’s state. A player entry and an organizer role are separate: managing the tournament does not enter you as a competitor.
