Find your way around
Hop In Sports has two apps: the web app you open in a browser, and the mobile app you install on your phone. They share your account, but they look different and do not have exactly the same features. This article covers getting around in each.
On a computer
Section titled “On a computer”A sidebar runs down the left side of the screen.
- Personal holds My activities, Explore, Groups, and Inbox.
- When you are working in a group, that group appears as its own section in the sidebar with the areas you can manage, such as Activities, Members, and Sales.
On a phone
Section titled “On a phone”The same four destinations move to a bar across the bottom of the screen.
| Bottom bar | Takes you to |
|---|---|
| My activities | Everything you have joined or registered for. |
| Explore | Find something new to join. |
| Groups | Your groups. Open one to reach the areas you manage. |
| Inbox | Messages and notifications. |
Deeper areas are reached by opening the thing you want to work on first. To manage a tournament, for example, open Groups, choose your group, then open the tournament.
Tabs inside a page
Section titled “Tabs inside a page”Once you are in a group or a tournament, the areas you can manage appear as tabs across the top — Overview, Participants, Competition, Updates, and Settings.
On a phone these tabs scroll sideways, so swipe the row to reach the ones further along.
The mobile app uses four tabs across the bottom of the screen.
| Tab | Takes you to |
|---|---|
| Home | What is coming up for you. |
| Explore | Find something new to join. |
| Messages | Your conversations. |
| Profile | Your account, your groups, and your settings. |
Areas you manage, such as a group’s settings, are reached through Profile rather than a sidebar.
What is not in the mobile app yet
Section titled “What is not in the mobile app yet”The mobile app does not have every feature. Tournaments, for example, are managed in the web app today. When a feature is missing from the mobile app, open the web app in a browser to use it.
